overview

HCDE 318, Introduction to User-Centered Design, guided us through a 10-week design process. Beginning with user research our team was able to create high-fidelity mock-ups. Through this site you will be able to see our process and how we came to create Beauti, an inclusive makeup app that can be used to assist makeup users with purchasing makeup and finding the right products that fit their specific skin type.

problem statement

We aim to target makeup users of color who struggle to find representation within the makeup community, making it difficult to find products. We also targeted makeup users who do not experience the same ease in finding foundations compatible for their skin type and color within their price range.
